Ramona Ramadar serves as the Director of Gift Planning for the Salvation Army Greater New York Division and is responsible for driving the planned giving team and strategy to the organizations 150-year legacy of doing good, fighting poverty, and transforming lives.

In her previous role, as the Regional Director of Gift Planning at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, she assisted with donor relationship development and stewardship of Planned Giving donors across the Midwest (portfolio of 800+), prepared and presented life income gift proposals that are individually tailored for prospects and current donors, helped manage and grow the Legacy Society, serve as a liaison for affiliates, donors and their advisors on philanthropic planning and provided Planned Giving training to affiliate development staff. From 2015-2017, Ramona served as the Development representative on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Council at Planned Parenthood, helping to create and implement DE&I strategies and initiatives across the Federation.

Ramona has 10+ years of professional experience in nonprofit and corporate settings, with the past 7 years focused exclusively on planned giving. She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from City College, an MBA from Adelphi University and a Certificate in Fundraising from New York University.

In addition, she serves on the Executive Board of the Philanthropic Planned Giving Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY) and is presently one of the Program’s Co-Chair responsible for selecting seminars that would be beneficial to the Gift Planning community.
