Morning Seminar - Nuts and Bolts (10:00-12:00):

"Your Foot, Their Door: Becoming Fearless" by Rebecca Rothey, CFRE, CAP®

With metrics increasingly driving fundraising, the pressure to achieve measurable results is at an industry peak. Often, the most challenging part of closing a major or planned gift is securing the initial visit. Using practical examples, group exercises, and humor, this presentation will explore the array of techniques available for overcoming the obstacles to achieving visit goals. Rather than being an obstacle, fear can be your key to success. Learn how to harness the right kind of fear as a powerful force for achieving your goals. This session is eligible for CFRE credits.

Morning Seminar - Advanced Course (10:00-12:00):

"Current Trends in Estate Planning - What Gift Planners Need to Know" by Lois Tilton, Esq.

Gift planners today are working on increasingly sophisticated gift plans with their donors. Donors often come to the planners with a great deal of their personal estate planning either in place or in the beginning stages. To integrate gift planning into the donor’s overall estate plan, it is imperative that the gift planner understand these advanced planning tools. This presentation will educate gift planners on these complex estate planning concepts and methods. This session qualifies for CPE, CLE, and CFRE credit.

Financial aid is available. Click here for details.

Luncheon Presentation (12:30-2:00):

"From Wealth Accumulation to Big Donations: Gift Planners and Professional Advisors Working Together to Create Societal Transformation" by Rebecca Rothey, CFRE, CAP®

“The times, they’re a’changin.” No statement better summarizes the evolving roles of potential donors and their professional advisors as they work with front-line fundraisers and charitable gift planners. Join Rebecca Rothey for a whirl-wind review of the relationship between professional advisors and charitable gift planners. Rebecca will offer a new framework for thinking about how to bring about societal transformation through gift planners and professional advisors working together to move potential donors from wealth accumulation to making big donations. This session is eligible for CFRE credits.
