Gifts of Life Insurance

by Gary Pforzheimer

Approximately 40% of U.S. households own individual life insurance policies with a total death benefit of over $12 trillion. This pool of assets can be an important source of charitable gifts. Unfortunately, the way some life insurance giving programs have been promoted has made gift planners reluctant to pursue life insurance gifts of any kind. However, there are different types of life insurance and they can be used by a donor to make excellent charitable gifts during life or at death. We will also consider the practical questions of accepting, crediting, and managing life insurance policies.

This session has been approved for CPE and CFRE credits.

***Margaret Holman's Webinar will be held on April 23, 2020 - please read notice above.***

PPGGNY University Seminar: Wrap Up Session

by Margaret M. Holman

Did you miss a PGGNY University session? Catch up with a summary of all three previous sessions with a review of the most common planned gifts (and some of the more complex ones!), marketing and how to identify a planned gift prospect by using what we know about demographics. And your chance to ask any questions that have been lingering about what you've learned.

This session has been approved for CPE and CFRE credits.
