About the Presentation

"SALT”: Where We Are Now

Last year’s Tax Cuts & Jobs Act cut taxes for most businesses and individuals. Congress helped pay for these cuts by capping the deduction for state and local taxes (“SALT”) at $10,000. High-tax states, such as New York, have implemented various legislative workarounds, which the IRS has effectively curtailed. We’ll have an informal discussion about where we are with SALT, and what this may mean for charitable giving.5:30 - 6:30 PM -
