Morning Seminar (9:00 AM - 11:00 PM)

PPGGNY University Seminar: What Can Marketing Do?

by Mohammad Zaidi, Director of Gift Planning, ACLU Foundation

This session will explore what direct marketing can do for your gift planning program. How to set specific goals for lead generation, cultivation, and stewardship – with a complete review of the tools and techniques to achieve those goals. Are we talking to the right people? What is our call to action? Have we optimized our reply device? Do we have a plan for repetition and consistency? What about considerations for design and copy?

This session has been approved for CFRE credits.

Advanced Seminar: Blended Gifts and How to Create Them

by Joe Bull, JD, Assistant Vice President of Development, Carnegie Mellon University

Blended gifts are a mixture of well-known gift planning instruments: charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, charitable gift annuities, pooled income funds, retained life estates, tax-advantaged gifts of highly appreciated capital assets, etc. This session will explore how to combine and integrate these instruments as well as exploring seldom-used specifics in the Internal Revenue Code that allow a single CRT to be a blended gift unto itself.

This session has been approved for CPE, CLE and CFRE credits.

Financial aid is available for Attorneys and Paralegals pursuing CLE credits. Click here for more information.
